Industrial Management

Industrial Management

A large segment of the United States Gross National Product is generated by production oriented industries. Improvement in production processes and management techniques have created a huge demand for industrial managers. Median average starting salaries are now above $45,000. This high salary indicates that a graduate with managerial and technical skills is a valuable asset.

Students in this program take courses in management, quality control, computer aided drafting, electronics, automation, robotics, fabrication, machining, plant layout and project management to name a few. The result of this diverse mix of management and technical courses is a graduate with many opportunities in production related companies. This program of study is ideal whether you want a management oriented position or something more technical in nature.

Students specialize in one of five option areas: Computer Aided Drafting, Distribution, Food Processing, Production, and Quality Control. This specialization allows the student to focus on an area while still having the breadth of the Industrial Management Degree.

A graduate might hold the title of manufacturing engineer, quality technician, automation technician, project manager, sales representative, assistant plant manager, or any number of positions related to their option.
